Thank you so much for your help! Your newsletter has helped us get the word out in years past; case in point a former Fort Valleyan living in Ohio stopped by on her way to Florida because of your notice. So thanks for posting this.

Peach County Historical Society
OCTOBER 28TH
Mr. Robert Ciucevich of Quatrefoil Consulting in Savannah was commissioned to conduct a ‘Windshield Survey’ of historically significant buildings and sites in Peach County. This survey was funded in part by a $10,000 grant from the Middle Georgia Preservation Commission and a generous donation of $2,000 from the Peach County Commissioners.
Mr. Ciucevich has completed the survey and will be presenting the details on October 28th at the Peach County Courthouse in the Commissioners Room from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. His presentation will include a selection of photographs of outbuilding, along with a history and purpose of those buildings. He will also identify locations that are candidates for listing on the “National Registry of Historic Placesâ€.
This is significant in that it will lay the groundwork for future historic tours, scenic byway grants, and unprecedented historic development in the future. All interested parties are invited to attend.
